The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) announces that is 145th annual meeting, scheduled to occur this June as a hybrid virtual/in-person event will be held
June 21-24, 2021 on an exclusively virtual basis. Registration will open in early March.
While members of the Association wish an in-person event would be possible, we recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic and its recovery is likely to continue to disrupt travel and gatherings on a large scale well past June of this year.
"While we'll miss seeing colleagues in-person, we will still be able to provide access to cutting edge research findings, emerging best practices, policy initiatives, and even a little fun online," said Elisa Velardo, Conference Planning Chair and Vice President of the AAIDD Board of Directors. "We hope that by hosting this year's sessions online we will be able extend the reach of the important information shared at the conference."
AAIDD's 2022 conference has been scheduled for June 13-15, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida. A call for proposals will open in the fall of that year.
