Registration will close on Friday, June 18th. Unlike previous conferences, no registrations will be accepted after this date.
Payment Policy
Payment can be provided in one of two ways.
- Payment can be provided via credit card online at the time of registration.
- Payment via check and accompanying hard copy registration form can be mailed to our office. Please note, due to delayed USPS delivery times nationwide, we encourage you to mail your check as early as possible. We will unfortunately be unable to credit registrations for checks received after Friday, June 18th. If you need an invoice, please contact lthorn@aaidd.org
Cancellation & Refund Policy
All registration cancellations must be received in writing. Email your cancellation notice to Laura at lthorn@aaidd.org.
- Full Refund less a processing fee of $30 will be honored if refund request is received no later than May 31, 2021.
- Registrants canceling after May 31, 2021 will not receive a refund.
- No refund will be issued for no-shows.
Registration Substitution
Registration substitutions of equal membership levels will be accepted. Such requests must be made in writing, and by the original registrant.
Registration Confirmation
A registration confirmation e-mail will be sent immediately to the e-mail address you provided. If you did not received a confirmation e-mail, please check your spam folder first, if the e-mail is not there then contact us at lthorn@aaidd.org
Frequently Asked Questions about Registration
What does the General Registration Fee include?
The general registration fee entitles registrants to attend all virtual educational sessions, including the pre-conference day, posters sessions, and networking events. You will also be able to access the virtual exhibit hall and interact with vendors. The only additional, optional cost ($30) is for CEUs associated with specific sessions on the pre-conference day. When is the last day I can register?
Registration will close on Friday, June 18th. Unlike previous conferences, no registrations will be accepted after this date. Presenting authors MUST be registered by April 30th or will be removed from the program.
I just want to attend or present at one session; do I still have to register?
Yes, even if you are only coming to attend or present at just one session, you still need to pay the registration fee.
Do you have a one-day registration?
No, we do not have a one-day registration option this year.
I’m a speaker. Do you have a discount for speakers?
No, we only have a discount for AAIDD members, students, self-advocates/family members, and retirees. If you are not a member and would like to become one, you may receive the discounted rate. Please find more information here.
Do you have any registration discounts for large groups?
Yes, we have a 10% discount for groups of 10 or more. To obtain this discount, please contact us.
We’re a corporate member, do we get a discount?
Yes, if your organization is a Corporate member, you’ll get a 20% discount for your employees. To obtain this discount, please contact us.
Do I receive continuing education credits for attending the conference?
Education credits are being offered for some pre-conference sessions only. An additional CEU fee will be required ($30). Please visit our Pre-Conference Day page for more information:
I need an invoice for my registration or work for a government or higher education institution and need to pay with a PO. What do I do?
We are happy to create invoices and make arrangements for payment with POs. Please contact lthorn@aaidd.org.
Can I pay by check?

When will I receive login instructions to access the conference content?
The access link will be shared with paid registrants a couple of days before the conference. Instructions on how to navigate and test your system before the even will also be shared as we get closer to the event.
