Disability Policy Seminar

This annual event is jointly sponsored by: The Arc of the United States, United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), Association of University Centers on Disabilities AUCD), National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), and Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE).

Reinventing Quality

Jointly sponsored by a consortium of partners, AAIDD, ANCOR, HSRI, NASDDDS, Research and Training Center on Community Living at UMN, TASH, and NLCDD. This bi-annual (every other year) event showcases best practices in person-centered supports from across the nation.

The National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities

Co-sponsored by AAIDD. The University of Delaware Leadership Institute offered several times a year, offers a select group of future leaders from organizations the opportunity to come together with a fabulous faculty of national experts on progressive supports for people with disabilities. The Institute supports the development of skilled leaders who are passionate about quality, have the leadership, management and financial skills needed to run solid not-for-profit businesses and government agencies, are capable of assembling top-notch teams of caring staff, and have a solid commitment to progressive values that assured lives of meaning and impact for the individuals receiving support.

Alliance for Full Participation (AFP)

Jointly sponsored by a consortium of national organizations including AAIDD, the first AFP conference was held September 22- 23, 2005. This first Summit's purpose was to bring together many voices from every state and every walk of life. A second Summit, Real Jobs--It's Everyone's Business, was held November 17-19, 2011, to convene the leaders of the intellectual and developmental disabilities community to address the challenges and barriers facing increasing integrated employment for people with IDD.
