Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) is beginning to gain the function of being an international tool in determining the supports needed of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this session, the findings from the evaluation of studies using SIS as a data collection tool between 2004 and 2018 will be shared. In this presentation, suggestions based on the reviewed studies on how to contribute to the international use of SIS will be shared with participants.

Participants will
• Understand the background of the SIS
• Explain peer reviewed studies about SIS between 2004-2018
• Analyze and discuss SIS studies according to parameters for (a) SIS version used, (b) research model, (c) participants (number of individuals identified as need for support, age, gender, intelligence score, (if any) type of additional disability, other individuals involved in data collection, (d) characteristics of findings
