STATEMENT OF GOALS

I believe that one of the greatest strengths of AAIDD as a vibrant member organization is the opportunity for practitioners, researchers, policy specialists, students, and fierce advocates to come together, inform each other, and in so doing, improve each area of expertise. My particular area of focus has been to promote excellence and innovation in service delivery and supports, advocacy, and progressive policy development.

My goal will be to strengthen the provider/practitioner perspective to better engage and expand membership within this key stakeholder group. My approach is to value and optimize the contributions of all AAIDD members in order to advance the mission and strategic objectives of the organization. This will ensure that AAIDD will continue to be a welcoming place for early career professionals who be the future leaders in the field to develop a lifelong professional network.
