Communication Resources: the National Joint Committee on the Communication Needs of Persons with Severe Disabilities

Presenters:
Rose Sevcik, PhD, Georgia State University
MaryAnn Romski, PhD, Georgia State University

The National Joint Committee on the Communication Needs of Persons with Severe Disabilities (NJC) is made up of representatives from eight professional organizations and advocates for individuals with significant communication needs across the lifespan.  This webinar presents an overview of the current resources created by the NJC that offer content for families, advocates, and practitioners from a range of disciplines. These resources focus on effective communication for persons with significant communication needs.  They offer a route for advocating for effective and appropriate service delivery.  The resources also can be utilized in preservice and continuing education contexts.

This is an AAIDD webinar.
